Competent SWLs provide a great service. I would love to get E-mail swl reports on the readability and quality of my very low power,,,QRP...cw signal. Unfortunately, few SWLs these days can copy Morse code. So, they cannot report. In my opinion many long-term SWLs are often more knowledgeable on the subject of radio propagation, frequency choice, etc. than some licensed radio amateurs.
