50 ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNIVERSIDAD POLITÉCNICA DE CATALUNYA
COMMEMORATIVE DIPLOMA RULES
DATES:
From December 15 (00.00Z) to December 30 (24.00Z), 2020 (16 days).
AWARDS:
Awards are awarded in three different categories based on the number of contacts with the AO50UPC station contacted by the applicant (or reports in the case of SWLs). All the Awards will indicate the name and the callsign of the applicant.
SILVER AWARD
Stations in Europe: Will be awarded to stations that get at least 10 contacts whatever the band and mode with the AO50UPC station.
Stations outside Europe: Stations that get at least 8 contacts whatever the band and mode with the AO50UPC station will be granted.
GOLDEN AWARD
Stations in Europe: Will be awarded to stations that manage to make a minimum of 3 contacts in different modes and on 4 different bands with the AO50UPC station.
Stations outside Europe: It will be awarded to stations that manage to make a minimum of 3 contacts in different modes and on 3 different bands with the AO50UPC station.
PLATINUM AWARD
Stations in Europe: Will be awarded to stations that manage to make a minimum of 4 contacts in different modes and on 4 different bands with the AO50UPC station.
Stations outside Europe: Will be awarded to stations that manage to make a minimum of 4 contacts in different modes and on 3 different bands with the AO50UPC station.
TROPHIES:
MEDAL OF THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UPC
A special commemorative medal will be awarded to each of the 20 highest ranked licensed participants in the world with the most different contacts with the AO50UPC station.
For the elaboration of the rankings, the communications in any mode will be valid, SSB, CW, MGM, in each of the authorized bands, those communicated through satellite, “meteor scatter” or EME are also considered.
Each mode and band combination counts only the first time it is performed. Duplicate contacts do not count in the count.
The consultation of the online log of the participants in the ranking of QSOs can be followed daily on the website http://50aniversario-upc.dxfun.com
The log will be updated every 24 hours. It is recommended to try to repeat the contact if a station is not in the online log. Claims will be reviewed during the celebration of the diploma, however, within 10 days of completion, any participant can submit motivated claims if they think that a QSO is not adequately reflected in the online log.
REQUESTS:
Those classified in each category will be able to download their personalized diploma in PDF format from the official website and for free. There is no need to send lists of QSOs as the log will be available on the web.
SWLs must send their list of received stations to the address 50.aniversario.eetac@upc.edu until February 1, 2021 and the Award will be sent by email.
The first classified by number of QSOs will receive the Commemorative Medal free of charge at their postal address.
The list of candidates for Medal will be available on the website. After the conclusion, the winners must confirm their address at the email address 50.aniversario.eetac@upc.edu
