    R60SAT - First Artificial Earth Satellite - Award

    «Sputnik 1 - The First Artificial Earth Satellite»



    To apply for the General Award «Sputnik 1 - The First Artificial Earth Satellite» 1440 points is required (number of orbits the satellite completed around Earth).



    To apply for the Jubilee Award «60th anniversary of Sputnik 1 - the world's first artificial Earth satellite» 2017 points is required.



    Applicants from Russia and Kazakhstan get 5 points for each QSO (SWL)

    Applicants from the rest of the world get 5 points for each QSO (SWL) with Russia and Kazakhstan.

    Duplicate QSO (SWL) counted on different bands and/or on different modes CW,AM,SSB,FM, Digi (all DIGI modes counted as one).

    QSO on VHF/ UHF bands and QSO via Satellites are worth 60 point.



    For applicants from Asia (except Russia and Kazakhstan), Oceania, Africa, South and North America and Antarctica all gained points are multiplied by 3.

    QSO with the special call R60SAT gives 60 points.

    The award program is valid from 01 October 2017 00-00 UTC, till 04 January 2018 23-59 UTC

    Applicants need to gain 60 points. Applications for the plaque are to be sent to rw3dd@mail.ru
    Special call sign R60SAT will be active from 00-00UTC October the 1st 2017 till 23-59 UTC October the 8th 2017. This activity is to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the launch of the world’s first artificial satellite orbiting Earth.
