To mark the anniversary moment and honor the heroic work of the builders of this road, the Cozia Râmnicu Vâlcea Radioclub Association (YO7KRS) organizes a radio event between July 1 and September 15 of this year. establishing the diploma "50 years since the inauguration of the Transfăgărășan Road, 1970-1974" which will be awarded to radio amateurs who will have at least two QSOs with the special callsign YR50DTF in different US bands and frequencies, exclusively in voice SSB.
