    Information from QRZ com:
We made the wrong decision about how to express support for Ukraine and we've realized that. We apologize for this decision. We have reconsidered and reversed the action. We are very sorry for any inconvenience or breach in trust it may have caused.

RSGB Statement on the Ukraine conflict.
The normal stance of amateur radio is that it is apolitical. However, it is clear that recent actions by the Russian Federation and their military have crossed a line and the RSGB cannot in this instance remain neutral.
The policy of the RSGB is that we will follow the actions of the mainstream sporting bodies with regard to all activities of a competitive nature such as contests and ARDF. Russian and Belarusian radio amateurs are therefore currently ineligible to participate in any event that is organised/sponsored by the RSGB.
The policy of the RSGB in commercial activities is that we will refrain from trade with Russia and Belarus until further notice.
For RSGB Contests, until further notice, all logs received from stations in the Russian Federation or Belarus will be treated as check logs.

          Dear colleagues!

On behalf of Russian radio amateurs, we appeal to all radio amateurs in the world and their leaders – heads of national organizations.

Since its formation in 1992, the Russian Amateur Radio Union has consistently adhered to the national legislation in the field of communications, the principles of ham spirit, and since joining the IARU in 1994, the IARU Constitution.

Over the past decades, the world has experienced a series of military conflicts involving the United States, NATO and their allies in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and a number of other countries. And never, no matter which side the Russian state is on in this or that conflict, the Union of Radio Amateurs of Russia did not allow itself any unfriendly steps towards radio amateurs and amateur radio organizations of the countries participating in the conflicts.

And now we expect from radio amateurs and national amateur radio organizations the same responsible approach that they themselves have taken during these three decades.

Each of us off the air can give his own assessment of what is currently happening in Ukraine, but today we can and must demonstrate to the public that radio amateurs are a community of people who treat each other with respect, regardless of political beliefs, religion and nationality. The amateur radio service promotes mutual communication and friendship between people, IARU is out of politics. This is what the IARU leadership emphasizes in their appeal dated February 28, 2022.

World history, including the history of amateur radio, knows many examples when unfriendly steps, various boycotts only aggravated conflicts. At the same time, it was radio amateurs who many times came to the aid of victims of disasters and emergencies, providing communication, and thereby saving people’s lives.

In connection with the events in Ukraine, the Russian Amateur Radio Union invites radio amateurs and amateur radio organizations – members of the IARU to remain true to amateur radio traditions: to refrain from rash emotional acts using Amateur Radio in any of its manifestations for this, not to lose contact with each other, to show wisdom and mutual respect and thereby contribute to the speedy settlement of the situation.

Union of Radio Amateurs of Russia.

RDXC and the attack on the Ukraine
            RRDXA Comments
The normal stance of amateur radio is that it is apolitical. However, it is clear that recent attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine is a hot topic among radio amateurs worldwide and can not be regarded as an ´usual political decision´. Some radio amateurs discuss boycott of contests and Russian operators. In this situation the RRDXA cannot and does not want to remain silent.
We fully understand that individual operators do not feel in a mood for contests or even contact Russian stations in the current situation. However, we believe that this can not be a long term solution. In general, the amateur radio service promotes mutual communication and friendship between people. Keeping contact, exchanging information on HF and amateur radio contests are an integral part of this.
Given the current situation in Ukraine the RRDXA encourages partipants in RDXC to wish peace to the people of Ukraine. This can be done by using ‚mir‘ instead of ‚tu‘ (CW) or ‚peace and 73‘ (SSB). The exchange can be replaced by ‚599MIR‘. The latter one obviously could be regarded as a violation of RDXC contest rules, given ´mir´ is not a valid exchange/ oblast.
The RRDXA does 2022 not take part in club-competition of RDXC. Instead members are asked to devote their points to the clubs they sympathize, e.g. UCC.
We hope that the killing between slavic brother states will end soon. With this in mind I wish peace, mir and Frieden to Ukraine.
            Vy 73
            Uwe, DL8OBF
            President of the RRDXA

LRAL statement regarding the war in Ukraine
The Latvian Radio Amateur League (LRAL) stands in solidarity with Ukrainian radio amateurs and the Ukrainian people and strongly condemns the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces.
LRAL believes radio amateurs must be apolitical and work for peace and mutual understanding, but now, when one country is invading another, the situation is extreme.
LRAL calls on Latvian radio amateurs to refrain from participating in Russian competitions and other radio amateurs' events. LRAL will also not publish any
information and calls for participation in Russian competitions and activities.
In regards to individual communication, each radio amateur should decide on their own. Individual Russian radio amateurs, unless they represent Russia (e.g. team competition), should not be prevented from participating in our competitions.
IARU notes that any radio amateur currently broadcasting from Ukraine risks their life. If you hear a Ukrainian station, do not transmit its call sign, location or
frequency, whether over the air, cluster or social media. This can be life-threatening to Ukrainian amateurs.
The situation is changing rapidly, said Mats Espling, secretary of IARU 1 st region, SM6EAN. 1st region of IARU is following the developments and expects all radio amateurs to comply with their national laws and regulations.
