As of January 15th call areas were done away with in Iceland. There were several call areas pre-1981, expanded to 10 starting in 1981.
Now a TF callsign could be anywhere in the country. In the same regulations change, the callsign system is changed in other ways.
"N licensees" used to have three-letter suffixes ending in N.
This has been done away with.
Either of the two license classes may now have one, two or three letter suffixes.
