Planned for May, 2018, the 500-member elite CW club, marks the 80 years since its founding. They hope this event will be as good as their FOC75 event in 2013, with FOC member activity around the globe.
They plan a special callsign with 80FOC suffix from the UK and getting the club's G4FOC call on from around the UK and other places during May. FOC members are encouraged to get special FOC callsigns too.
There will be an award for everyone, apparently including non-members, working FOC members and the special callsigns. Volunteers in the UK are being asked to operate with the special calls and some willing to travel to "the more unusual regions" to get the calls on the bands.
M0PCB, Iain, is the activity coordinator and wants participants with special calls to contact him so he can add the calls to the awards information in advance
