7QP 2017 plans are for Umatilla, Morrow, Gilliam, Sherman, Wasco, Hood River in Oregon. We will be a 3 operator, 3 radio ,mode, expedition. KD7RUS, AE7VP, and I, and we may be on three different bands/modes at the same time. Umatilla/Morrow and Morrow/Gilliam are county lines and count for two each time. The other combinations are rivers and typically in a canyon, not a good place to operate if you want contacts.

I finally figured out to go to the extreme east end, Boardman Oregon 163 miles, Friday night and just go one direction during the contest period.

We should be on from Umatilla/Morrow line at start time possibly 14245 ssb, 7045 CW, and 21085 RTTY.

APRS will be running with KT7G-3, check the 50 watt APRS (link above) for our progress. Google APRS.fi then KT7G-3 should get you there. Our third Operator AE7VP had his heart surgery and will be with us. Plans in 2017 are to run the Blue Bird Motorhome as an expedition, only operate when parked. You could only operate when mobile to the first overpass...
