Mike Michael Crowley, M7MMX will be active as A65EI from Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
He will operate on HF Bands.
Information from his QRZ page:
I’m a commercial airline pilot currently working for a Middle Eastern airline. This gives me the opportunity to enjoy my radio hobby in various ways around the world.
Depending on the rules and regulations of individual countries I try to pack:
HF: Xiegu X6100 with either a loaded coil vertical or an EFHW
VHF/UHF: GD-77 with opengd77 software, Yaesu FT-65R, ICOM V82 or Baofeng UV-5R. With a homebrew 2m/70cm flowerpot antenna
SWL: XHDATA D808 receiver or Bearcat BC125AT scanner
I worked as a ship’s Radio Officer with BP shipping on various oil tankers for a number of years before moving ashore. Even though I had passed my morse exam I never had a chance to use it live as most ships had moved to the newer Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS). I’m looking forward to re-learning this skill.
