Information from his QRZ page:
I’m Sanjeev, licensed since 2020, but radio has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m based in San Fernando, located in the southern part of Trinidad and Tobago, an island nation at the southernmost end of the Caribbean, just off the coast of Venezuela. My QTH is approximately 40 km (25 miles) south of the capital, Port of Spain.
I’m a Commercial Pilot (CPL, Single-Engine Land, Multi-Engine Land, IFR Rated) and currently working toward my Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certification. Aviation has been a lifelong passion—since childhood.
I’m also involved in repeater operations. The local repeater I help maintain is on 147.975 MHz (-0.600 offset, PL 110.9 Hz). It’s a team effort run by my father Krishnan (9Y4K), Andy (9Y4LAS), Dave (9Y4LDS), and myself. I also host a local net every Thursday night on that repeater, and we’re proud to keep it alive and serving the local ham community.
Outside the shack, I own a 21 ft. Deep-V boat built by Bowen Marine, a well-known Trinidadian boat builder with a reputation for solid, sea-worthy hulls made for our Caribbean waters. Boating is part of my lifestyle.
Other hobbies include:
•Astrophotography
•Hobby-grade RC cars and boats
•LEGO (18+ sets mostly)
•Collecting diecast cars (mostly Porsche models—as a proud Porsche owner, it’s a passion that carries from the road into the display shelf!)
•Offshore powerboat racing – my favorite sport, hands down.
