The T88AR team of K7AR, Al, and W7YAQ, Bob, arrived on Koror, Palau and expect to be on the air later this afternoon their time. Koror local time is nine hours ahead of UTC. They note T8 is not authorized for 5 MHz (60 Meters). They plan to be QRV until December 1, including participation in the CQ WW DX CW Contest, November 29-30, 2025.

We have about 2000 Q's in the log so far. Based on our location, and propagation conditions, contacts with EU and NA are hard to come by. We only have a few hours of a daylight path to NA. We are delayed in erecting our 160 antenna as there is no physical space for it. The staff here are trimming trees to make room for the 160 antenna. We're in a mostly jungle like environment with little open space and the available space is used by the facility for parking and other activities.

We have a noise problem at night that affects the low bands. This is possibly due to LED lighting, we're not sure. Most bands have S7 or greater noise at night which dissipates after sunrise. We found backing off the RF Gain on the K3 can help, and WSJT-X does an amazing job pulling out stations on the noisy bands.

I'll send more info as available, 73,
        Al, K7AR

We have 225 QSOs in the log on 160, about 90% with JA and other Pacific entities. We have about 15 US contacts all in 6 and 7 land. We didn't hear any east coast or midwest stations. We were on 1840 FT8 for several hours after 1100Z. Our noise level on 160 is low and only atmospheric noise is present at low to moderate levels.

On 6M we have 200 some contacts mostly with JA, BY, HL and other Asian entities. We'll monitor 6 when possible.

T88AR is now QRT right after the CQ WW CW Contest. We're tearing down the stations and preparing to head home. We have a total of 8059 QSOs in our logs from the contest and the week before. OQRS is now available although it will take a few weeks to get cards printed. Thanks to everyone who worked us, we appreciate your participation. And special thanks to Gary Shirk, T88SS and his wife Eve. They treated us like family and really show what ham spirit is all about.

See you on our next trip, 73,
                  Al, K7AR and Bob, W7YAQ
