HR4/PY8WW – Tigre Island DXpedition | IOTA NA-060

Tigre Island, Gulf of Fonseca – Honduras
I will be active as HR4/PY8WW from Tigre Island (IOTA NA-060) between May 13 and 17, 2025.
This activation is part of the Islands On The Air (IOTA) program and will take place from Tigre Island, a volcanic island located in the Gulf of Fonseca, southern Honduras. The island rises steeply from the sea and offers an excellent location for radio propagation, especially due to its saltwater surroundings and elevation.
Operating Setup
•Two DX Commander Expedition model vertical antennas
•Yaesu FT-DX10 and FT-710 transceivers
•Operation on 6 to 80 meters
We plan to maintain two signals on air at all times:
•One station alternating between SSB and CW
•One station fully dedicated to FT8 / FT4
Digital modes will follow standard DXpedition protocol on FT8/FT4 (DXpedition F/H mode).

PY8WW/HR4. Ren, Renato Araujo, PY8WW will be active as HR4/PY8WW from Tigre Island, IOTA NA - 060, Honduras, 13 - 18 May 2025.
He will operate on 40 - 10m, SSB, CW, Digital Modes.

Tiger Island is located on the border between Honduras and Nicaragua, in the Gulf of Fonseca.
