First Satellite Activation from Fuerte Island – Team HK4RAU (July 2025) Attention, amateur radio community!
We are pleased to announce that a team from the United Radio Amateur Association (HK4T, HK4C, HK4SSI, and HK4X) will conduct an expedition to Fuerte Island (IOTA SA-078, grid FJ19) at the end of July 2025, with the goal of activating this coveted reference point during the IOTA Contest 2025.
This expedition will include:
First satellite activation from the island (QSOs via satellites).
Operations on POTA, WWFF, and ARHLS.
Two special callsigns: 5K0T (operated by HK4T) and 5K0C (operated by HK4C).
Portable activations: HK0/HK4SSI and HK0/HK4X.
QSL Manager: EA5GL.
We will be active on HF, VHF/UHF, and satellites, following the contest rules. Help us put SA-078 on the map with worldwide contacts!
