Our friend W4MYA, Bob "Dude" Morris, from Goochland, VA, USA, became a Silent Key. He had been fighting lung cancer and was QRV almost up until the very end. He was born in 1945 and had been a member of the Potomac Valley Radio Club since 1968. Bob was both a Contester and DXer. He worked for AT&T in the Long Lines Dept. He got started in Multi-Multi contesting in the late 60's at the W3MSK/W3AU station and was then "hooked on M/M contesting", remembers friend N4RV, Jack Reichert. MYA then purchased land in Goochland, Virginia and built his own multi-multi. Bob was a mentor and trained many multi-multi ops throughout the years. K3ZO, Fred Laun, also operated with Bob at MSK/AU and remembers Bob as "the same go-hung fellow right up to the end". He loved contesting and could often be heard saying "Run em, Dude". Our sincere condolences to Lilly and the entire Morris family. Now on to the DX news of the day.
