Hello to all. I was licensed in 1949 as W5QDF in Clarendon, Texas and have held the current call since the early 70s. My primary interest is DXing on CW and only need one country at present to reach DXCC #1 MIXED.(BS7)***yes.. still need it...smoked the amp first day and couldnt hack it barefoot***. Add a P5 on cw to make it DXCC #1CW. In the late 70s, I started a part time business in my basement printing QSL cards. When I retired from the Photofinishing business (with Qualex), we bought 63 acres with a good elevation and isolation and put up several towers and made provisions for continuing the QSL business as a retirement supplement. My lovely bride since 1954 is Lola, N4KAI and one son, Doug is KE4LHS and lives nearby. If you ever hear me on the air, please give me a call. For a pix of the QTH, check the website at www.w4mpy.com ***Sadly, we lost "Little Wimpy" the maltese in the picture a couple of years ago....he is buried among some azelias he loved so much
