My name is Dante Pietosini and i was born in Civitavecchia, a town at 70 Km NW Rome on the thyrrenian sea coast i still live there . i'm Ham since 1998 with the callsign Iz0chd. I knew about this wonderful hobby after i saw some ship radio operators at work (that people almost doesn't exist today due to satellite communications age) I was a beginner CB operator, then the "big step" to radio amateur activity. Be a radio amateur allowed me to get in touch with manypeople, also living in my home town, and to learn more about radio world. I own a nautical mechanics and on board electrical systems degree. I work in a mechanical laboratory located inside the port of Civitavecchia now retired.
This year I'm planning to mount a radio station in my second qth Crognaleto Nerito site of the province of Teramo in the Abruzzo region, a small village 840 m above sea level on the slopes of Gran Sasso mountain call "iz0chd / 6".
