    Mick Puttick, G3LIK from Cowplain, Waterlooville, England, passed away after long illness.
    Information from his qrz page:
    Mick is the Honorary Vice President of the Royal Naval Amateur Radio Society.

    He was born in 1935 and joined the Royal Navy as a boy in 1950. He served all over the world at sea and ashore in the Communications Branch and in the Careers Service. He left the RN in 1995 and currently enjoys retirement with a few games of golf three days a week.

    He was also the Chairman of the First Class CW Operators Club (FOC) and is a member of the Royal Navy Chief Communicators Association (RNCCA). He is also a member of FISTS, the CW club and the RSGB. He also belongs to MF Runde and INORC, the German and Italian equivalents of the RNARS.

    He has held the calls ZB2CW and VQ9MP,and operated from VK2, VK4, ZS1, etc.and can be heard occasionally at the RNARS HQ station GB3RN.

    He has won a considerable number of awards for Amateur Radio both at home and abroad in CW. He can be found most mornings (when not playing golf) on 80 meter CW and on other RNARS frequencies.
