Born and raised in Putnam County, OH. Moved to Indiana in my senior year, 1947. Introduced to the hobby by the original holder of W8FY. Four years in the NAVY, assigned to NSG, leaving as a CT2. Received an associate's degree from Purdue University in 56. Worked 3 years for GE in Ft Wayne, IN, followed by 31 years for The Magnavox Co. in Ft. Wayne. Dabbled in numerous facets of our hobby, sticking with only one for a good stay. Chased HF DX for 30years until I got to the 'top of the honor roll' (MIXED) and went into semi-retirement. Other interest? Are there? Or should there be? Hung up on RTTY and RTTY contesting now.
