K1A -- Lest We forget
Memorial Day is a day set aside in the United States for remembering the men and women who died while serving in America's armed forces.
This day, which is observed every year on the last Monday of May, was formerly known as Decoration Day and originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the war. Nearly 1,000,000 service personal have died defending the freedoms that we can not ever take for granted.... to those who served, Thank you.. To those who died, we will not forget - we will carry on.....
Club KC5NX is operating as K1A during this Memorial Day week.. We have multiple operators and are covering as many bands and modes as we can.... Last year we totaled over 1200 QSOs....and hope to do more this year... Please contact us for any request for special frequencies, modes, or times for contacts....
