    Monthly performance of 8J17CALL for October-November, 2020

    Please be advised that monthly performance of 8J17CALL, 7-CALL 30th Anniversary Special station for October-November, 2020 (23rd October to 22nd November, 2020) are as follows;

    Monthly result in this period is 1,640 QSOs including 420 DX QSOs.
    Thank you for your calling us from all over the world!

    Overall result from the beginning is 14,237 QSOs including 1,793 DX QSOs as of 22nd November, 2020.

    7-CALL is Japanese callsign starting with “7" and it is a symbol of the golden age of Japanese amateur radio history.
    There are only 17,583 7-CALL stations (just 6.81% of overall issued 7-CALLs) still exist as of the end of 2019.

    Our club is going to promote 30th Anniversary of Japanese 7-CALL issuance with the special station until 22nd April, 2021.
    The special station is also known as a brand new WPX.

      Happy New Year 2021!

      Please be advised latest 7-CALL statistics (as of 31st December, 2020) as follows;
      7-CALL is Japanese callsign starting with “7″ and it is a symbol of the golden age of Japanese amateur radio history.

      1. 7-CALL Survivability
      Survivability of 7-CALL has dropped down to 6.42%.
      Survivability is percentage of existing 16,701 7-CALL stations against overall issued 258,272 7-CALLs during 1990 to 2003.

      7K1, 7L1, 7N3, 7K4 and 7N4 decrease almost 200 stations each prefix in 2020 compare with 2019 result due to license renewal.

      7J-CALL, limited callsign issued for foreign resident in Japan during 1995 to 1999 is just 120 stations all over Japan.

      2. 7-CALL Rarity ranking
      The most rare 7-CALL prefix is 7L3 and it is just 0.2% of Japanese amateur station.

      3. 7-CALL Statistics by prefecture
      7-CALL is 14.7% of amateur station in Greater Tokyo and 4.3% of over all Japanese amateur station.

      4. 7J-CALL Statistics by area
      There are no 7J-CALL station in Tohoku, Hokuriku and Shikoku area.

      7-CALL Amateur Radio Club is going to promote 30th Anniversary of Japanese 7-CALL issuance with 7-CALL 30th Anniversary Special station 8J17CALL until 22nd April, 2021.

            8J17CALL will participate CQ World-Wide WPX Contest SSB

            8J17CALL, 7-CALL 30th Anniversary Special station will participate CQ World-Wide WPX Contest SSB.

            8J17CALL News 23 March 2021.
            8J17CALL, 7-CALL 30th Anniversary Special station has a brand new prefix “8J17" according to the WPX regulation.
            We will promote 30th Anniversary of Japanese 7-CALL issuance to all over the world with joining the contest.

            QRV on 3.5, 7, 14, 21, and 28MHz bands.

            Due to COVID-19 affection, 7K1VKU will perform all duties as a single operator on behalf of the club.

              7-CALL Amateur Radio Club has finished all operations of 8J17CALL, 7-CALL 30th Anniversary Special station on 22nd April, 2021.

              The special station has operated for a year from 23rd April, 2020 to 22nd April, 2021.

              As the last QSO, 7K1BIB (Compliance Manager) called 7M4VQJ (President) to report successful closing of the special station by Feld-Hell at 23:50.

              Feld-Hell is a facsimile-based teleprinter invented by Rudolf Hell that used for military and commercial purpose in past and still habitual use by radio amateur.

              At 23:59:00, the last message was emitted to deliver our greatest thanks and to inform closing of the special station to all amateurs.

              Then, the special station has terminated its operation at 23:59:59.

              The special station achieved 24,226 QSOs during its one-year operation.
              Thanks for your love from all over that world.

              See you again in some day!
