Radio Amateurs members of the Saudi Amateur Radio Society, HZ1SAR will be active with special call HZ20SAT from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 11 - 20 December 2022, Saudi Sat 1C SO-50 Event 2022.

The Saudi amateur radio society’s (SARS) satellite and events committees announce the start of the Saudi Oscar 50 (SO-50) Satellite event.
Starting from the 11th to 20th of December 2022, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) will be celebrating the launch of SO-50 that happened on the 20th of December 2002, which is a record time among amateur satellites.
To participate in the event please read the conditions carefully:
Start 11 Dec 2022 00:00 UTC – End 20 Dec 2022 23:59 UTC
● An introduction video no longer than 10 minutes of the equipment used for the satellite comms, at least one QSO and ending with the voice comms and LOS
● No old recordings will be accepted
● Submit your entry to SO-50@SARS.SA by 30th of December 2022
● Extra points will be added for sharing your videos on social networks Winners will be decided by the competition committee and will be announced at a later date.
