Athens County Amateur Radio Association and the Athens County Red Cross Amateur Radio Service (WA8ARC) are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Red Cross of Southeastern Ohio (formerly Athens County Red Cross) with special event station callsign K8R. Look for K8R to operate between November 1-16th 2017.
Suggested frequencies are 3800, 7225, 14215 and 21275 kHZ using SSB.
Some K8R control ops may also operate CW on these bands and perhaps some QRP. Most operators will also provide DX spots on DX spotting Web sites when on air. A special event QSL card will be available by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) with your request to N8SUZ.
QSL cards sent without a SASE will not receive a QSL in return.
