In 2025, the Fyodor Volkov Theater will celebrate its 275th anniversary. It is the oldest professional theater in Russia, founded in Yaroslavl in 1750.
The Russian Ministry of Culture has approved a plan for the anniversary celebrations, which includes about 30 events. Among them are a gala anniversary evening, the International Volkov Festival, and the All-Russian Youth Festival “The Future of Theater in Russia.” New productions, touring performances, exhibitions, and creative projects are also planned.
A commemorative coin and postage stamp will be created for the theater's 275th anniversary. In addition, as part of the celebrations, the troupe will go on a major tour, performing in Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, and Grozny, among other cities.
In honor of this remarkable event, the local branch of the SRR in Yaroslavl has organized a special call sign, R275TFV. We are on the air on all SSB, CW, and digital bands.
