Hope you enjoy your selves as much as I did when working in Douala. Lived at the Hotel des Cocotiers while managing a seismic oil exploration crew for several months back in 1970. I had previously worked out of Takoradi, Ghana for several months (9G1GS) with a 2 el quad on top of the 9 story Hotel Atlantic, right on the beach. One day I heard a loud signal on 15m. Turns out it was Thor Heyerdahl floating by on his Ra Expedition raft. Heard daily updates from Heyerdahl to his press agent in washington DC, and then eventually when the rafts back side became waterlogged and they started to slowly sink. Eventually they were rescued. What a memory! I was too busy to get my hama ticket in Cameroun but living in Douala was a memorable experience. Hope your stay is filled with memorable experiences.
