Much QSB on 20 mtw CW 24/09/2021 0600-0700 GMT. You would come in FB then fade under the noise level. I would hear you calling and I would answer, but would not hear you come back or make any more calls for several minutes, then your signal would pop out of the noise. I could hear EU stations working you but not your answers, then again your signal popped out of the noise. I just hope you did not answer me then I did not complete the call. I experienced this frequently when flying over the Pacific in USCG C-130's working NMC in San Francisco. We would have long periods of no HF SSB/CW/RTTY comms then all of a sudden signals would come back. We would suspect a radio or antenna failure but we had two separate redundant HF systems and both acted the same. 73 and TNX for activating IOTA's.
