Radio Amateurs members of the Federación de Radioaficionados de Cuba (FRC), in Las Tunas Province, will be active using their callsign CO9KAA to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the "Jornada Cucalambeana", starting June 28th until July 3rd 2017.
They will operate on 80, 40, 20, 15, 10, 6m CW, SSB.
The "Jornada Cucalambeana" is a cultural event which takes part each year around this date honoring Juan Cristobal Napoles Fajardo (aka "El Cucalambé"), a popular poet who was born in Las Tunas on July 1st, 1829.
Those stations who contact CO9KAA on at least 3 bands, no matter the mode, will receive a digital certificate.
