ENCARA 2017 Awards
RULES
Objective:
to stimulate Brazilian and worldwide amateur radio operators to contact ARAF stations to promote ENCARA 2017 (Encontro de Catarinense de Radioamadores) annual meeting in November, 18&19 this year. Check event details at www.encara.com.br
Dates:
Starts: August 19, 2017
Ends: November 19, 2017
Bands:
70cm, 2m, 6m, 10m, 12m, 15m, 17m, 20m, 30m, 40m e 80m
Modes:
CW, AM, FM, SSB, PSK31, PSK63, PSK125, RTTY, JT65, SSTV, DSTAR, Satellite
Only direct (simplex) QSOs via radio will be eligible. QSOs over repeater stations or via echolink are not valid for award purposes.
ARAF Special Callsings:
Valid ARAF callsigns: ZZ224ENCARA, PW5T and PP5ARF.
Different operators will keep these callsigns on the air during the months before the annual meeting.
Scoring:
1(one) point for each ARAF Station worked per BAND and MODE.
Only the first contact (CALL/BAND/MODE) will be considered for award purposes.
Contacts made during any Brazilian or any worldwide contest will be considered valid as well.
Awards:
PDF files awards will be available to download at www.encara.com.br for all stations logged by ARAF operators AND scored as follow:
◾3 points – “Praça XV de Novembro” award
◾6 points – “Mercado público” award
◾12 points – “Ponte Hercílio Luz” award
Score computing:
It´s NOT necessary to submit your LOG. All contacts will be registered electronically by ARAF operators.
SWLs must send an email to araf@araf.org.br with the subject “SWLs” informing the following data: Date, Time, ARAF station Callsign, band, mode and RST
ZZ24ENCARA. Mercado Publico Award.
