8A138RDS RADEN DEWI SARTIKA AWARD 2022
IN THE CONTEXT OF THE 94th MOTHER'S DAY IN 2022
A. PREFACE
One of the West Java Women Heroes was Raden Dewi Sartika, born into a well-known Sundanese family, namely R. Rangga Somanegara and R. A. Rajapermas in Cicalengka on December 4, 1884. When she was a child, she always played the role of being a teacher after school with his friends. After her father died, she lived with his uncle. He received an education according to Sundanese culture by her uncle, although previously she had received knowledge of western culture. In 1899, she moved to Bandung.
On January 16, 1904, she created a school called Sekolah Isteri at the Hall of Bandung Regency. The school was then relocated to Jalan Ciguriang and changed its name to the Sekolah Kaoetamaan Isteri in 1910. It taught women reading, writing, arithmetic, religious education and various skills. In 1912, there were already nine schools spread throughout West Java, then later developed into one school per city and district in 1920. In September 1929, the school changed its name to the Sekolah Raden Dewi.
Sekolah Raden Dewi growing rapidly. However, during the Japanese occupation, the school experienced a financial and equipment crisis.
After independence, Dewi Sartika's health began to decline. When the Dutch Military Aggression occurred during the independence war, she was forced to flee to Tasikmalaya. Dewi Sartika died on 11 September 1947 in Cineam and was buried there. After the situation is safe, her grave was moved to Jalan Karang Anyar, Bandung.
Along with the 94th Mother's Day in 2022, to commemorate her struggle, we will hold and publish through activities Special Event Station.

Commemorating 138 Years of Raden Dewi Sartika and the 94th Mother's Day in 2022.
As a Communication Training Event for YL Radio Amateur Members in West Java.
