    Lituanica - 90

    Rules for Award “LITUANICA – 90”

    This activity is organized by Polish western seashore section of PZK in Szczecin and Lithuanian radio amateurs - members of LRMD. The aim of this activity is to commemorate 90 years anniversary of flight through Atlantic ocean by two Lithuanian pilots Steponas Darius and Stasys Girenas. This flight started July 15, 1933 in New York and had the tragic end at july 17, 1933, when LITUANICA crashed in Pszczelnik forest close to Mysliborz city.

    1. The action starts July 1, 2023 and ends July 31, 2023.
    2. 3 classes of award are available: BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD.
    3. It is possible to repeat QSOs in different modes (CW, PHONE, DIGI), on different amateur bands. QSOs trough repeaters or Echolink do not count.
    4. In order to receive the award, it is necessary to collect;
    - BRONZE – 50 points;
    - SILVER – 70 points;
    - GOLD – 90 points.
    It is mandatory to collect points for QSOs with Polish and Lithuanian stations (It is not allowed to collect points for QSOs only with one country).
    5. The following points are available:
    - 10 points for QSO with LY90SD (birthplace of Steponas Darius), LY90SG (birthplace of Stasys Girenas) and HF90LOT (the place, where LITUANICA ended its flight).
    - 5 points for QSOs with Polish stations 3Z90LOT, SN90LOT, SO90LOT, SP90LOT, SQ90LOT and Lithuanian stations LY1933DG, LY90DG and LY90FLY.
    6. You can see Your valid QSO‘s and download the Award from the internet site
