Bands and Modes:
Activators will transmit only on the 10-12-15-17-20-30-40-80 meter bands in SSB, CW, FT8, and RTTY, in compliance with the IARU Region 1 Band Plan. No contacts are allowed on the 6, 60, and 160 meter bands.
The call will be: "CQ Award 50th ARI Acireale" for SSB and RTTY, and "CQ 50 ACI" for CW.
Activators:
Members of the ARI Acireale station club who wish to participate may transmit from their QTH using their own call signs. QSOs will be worth 3 points in CW, 2 points in SSB, and 1 point in FT8 and RTTY.
The special station IQ9BF will be activated in station club HQ, and QSOs will be worth 9 points in CW, 6 points in SSB, and 3 points in FT8 and RTTY.
The award is supported by the HamAward web.
Members of the ARI Acireale section can participate as activators only if they communicate their participation no later than July 30, 2024. The list of operators must be submitted to the platform manager.
Activators can also earn awards but will be included in a separate ranking.
Contacts made on the same day, on the same band, with the same station, are allowed provided they are made in different modes.
Awards:
There are 3 award levels available: 30 points (Bronze), 40 points (Silver), and 50 points (Gold). Awards will be available for download on the HAM-Award web after the event.
Logs:
Where possible, logs will be available online in real-time, depending on the technical capabilities of the individual activators, their internet connection, etc.
Awards:
The planned rankings are: "General," "Italy," "Europe + Rest of the World," and "Activator as Hunter." Awards are provided for hunters who achieve the highest scores.
QSL:
All radio contacts will be confirmed on eQSL, QRZ, and LoTW. A digital eQSL will also be available on the Ham-Award web itself.
QSL cards will be sent via bureau or direct for those who make a conventional request.
