Winter Games – AWARD RULES
VALIDITY PERIOD
The Award will begin on February 6, 2026 (at 00:00 UTC) and will conclude on March 22, 2026 (at 23:59 UTC).
During the event, the following special event stations will be active:
II2WOG – II3WOG – II3BIA – II3COR
ELIGIBILITY
The award is open to all licensed radio amateurs and SWLs worldwide.
BANDS
All amateur radio bands according to the IARU Band Plan: MF (160 m), HF, VHF, UHF (70 cm and 23 cm), and QO-100 satellite.
MODES
The following modes are permitted: CW, SSB, RTTY, FT (FT8/FT4).
EXCHANGE
RS(T) report only.
LIMITATIONS
Each special event station may be contacted a maximum of four times per day: once for each emission mode on each band.
Any duplicate contacts (QSOs made on the same day, same band, and same mode) will be considered “dupes” and will not award additional points, nor will they incur penalties.
SCORING
Points will be awarded for each valid QSO according to the following rules:
•1 point for each FT mode QSO
•2 points for each SSB mode QSO
•3 points for each RTTY mode QSO
•5 points for each CW mode QSO
On the following dates, QSOs with special stations will be worth double points:
•06/02/2026 – Opening Ceremony
•08/02/2026 – Women’s Downhill
•15/02/2026 – Women’s Giant Slalom
•17/02/2026 – Men’s 4 x 7.5 km Relay
•18/02/2026 – Women’s 4 x 6 km Relay
•22/02/2026 – Closing Ceremony
•06/03/2026 – Paralympic Opening Ceremony
•08/03/2026 – Women’s Giant Slalom (Paralympic)
•15/03/2026 – Paralympic Closing Ceremony
The final score is the sum of all individual QSO points.
AWARD CLASSES
The Award is issued in four classes based on the total score:
1.Basic Class: 50 points
2.Bronze Class: 100 points
3.Silver Class: 250 points
4.Gold Class: 500 points
The award will be issued in electronic format (PDF) and can be downloaded from the HAMAWARD platform.
Stations that do not reach the minimum score for the Basic Class may still download a Certificate of Participation from the same site.
RANKING
An online real-time ranking will be available. At the end of the event, participants can download
their award which will include their final ranking position.
E-QSL
During and after the event, electronic QSLs (eQSL) for each QSO can be downloaded via the hamaward.cloud platform.
