    Iceland - 70 Mhz

Iceland's National Amateur Radio society, Icelandic Radio Amateurs (IRA), announced "the 70 MHz band has been extended to 70.250 MHz". In addition "applicants are now granted a two year license" instead of one year.
On February 19, 2010 TF Amateur Radio ops were authorized the use of 70.000-70.200. Now they can "make full use of the international calling frequency 70.200 MHz".
So TF hams can now operate, on a secondary basis, from 70.000-70.250 MHz running 100 watts maximum on up to 16 KHz bandwidth.
Permits to operate on the 4 meter band are available to both "N" and" G" licensees, but must be applied for from PTA.
In addition the new TF1VHF beacon has been QRV since May 12, 2018 on 70.057 MHz.
