    Radio Amateurs from Mexico members of Red Nacional de Emergencia activate emergency networks after 7.1 Earthquake in Mexico.
    They using freqs 3690, 7060, 14120.
    Please stay away from this freqs.
    More than 200 people have died.

    FMRE coordinates communications for the earthquake of Sept. 19 - 2017 By XE2O, Alfonso Tamez

    Activity update. FMRE has the National Emergency Network operating on extended mode because yesterday's earthquake. Our operating frequencies are on 80m 3.690, on 40m 7.060 and on 20m 14.120. Actually we are working with C5 Center and we have 2 mobile emergency stations located one in Delegacion Xochimilco with local authorities and the other one in Enrique Rebsamen Elementary School. Both of the locations were extremely damage because of the earthquake.

    This unites have HF, VHF, UHF communications and also have WINKLINK system.

    The most recent information that we have indicates that there are more than 250 people die and also thousands of victims. 30 completely collapsed buildings. The traffic of messages mainly has been referring to the location of people in the area of Mexico City.

    We appreciate the help provided by all domestic and international radio amateurs.
