    DL7JLL/MM - SAA Bark Europa

After five weeks of sailing from Canada to "Salvador de Bahia," and two months as part of "RDV 2017 Sail Canada" (RDV standing for "rendezvous") in northeast Canada using standard VE prefixes, DL7JLL, Hardy, now plans to be in Montevideo, Uruguay in the next week and a half from now, then make a 13-day sail to the Falklands.
He will be on the SS Bark Europa.
Hardy says you can Google it to learn all about it and can follow their position in the South Atlantic.
Apparently from the Falklands he expects to be QRV November 15-25 with his KX3 and 50-watt amp to an inverted V, "Kelemen" and trap dipole for 40, 20, 15 and 10.
The Europa is a training ship, 110 years old, with a crew of 14, plus 35 trainees.
Hardy is one of the trainees but at 73 says he is a bit old, and is focusing on shortwave comms and propagation from this traditional "tall ship."
He notes that when passing the "SAA," the "South Atlantic Anomaly," the magnetic field's effect on propagation will be interesting.
He says it can be very difficult to reach the official marine/naval stations to get info on weather and currents.
On board, he will be using a homemade magnetic loop, "which seems to work, when propagation is good, which does not happen very often."
Maritime mobile, his callsign is DL7JLL/MM.
QSL direct or use Club Log.
He thinks most of the stations he hears, shipboard, are running kilowatts.
He can hear these sigs but his outgoing signal is much harder to hear.
He expects it's likely he will have an internet connection when on the Falklands.
