Ham’s residing in or near City of Downey, California the Downey Amateur Radio Club (DARC) meets monthly on the 1st Tuesday. We have an open forum for questions or just plain old rag chew the first 30 minutes starting at 7:00pm with the formal meeting starting at 7:30pm. There’s usually time after the meeting for more questions and getting to know one another.

Topic – Open; We are currently planning for June Field Day 2024 so if you’re interested in supporting field day or curious please drop by this month’s or June 4th meeting. This year field day will be held at the City of Downey, Fire Department Training Center north of Independence Park, Downey next to the parks north side parking area.
Independence Park is located a little north of the Bellflower Blvd./Imperial Hwy intersection on Bellflower Blvd, Downey, CA. The training center sits on the north side of the parks next to parking area away in the back.
ALL are welcome.

Parking – Will need to park on Orange St and enter thru the side gate
There’s also a Tuesday night DARC net at 7pm, Repeater 445.640 (-) PL 156.7 or 445.640 (-) PL88.5
VE Exams
The DARC provides VE examinations for all classes of Amateur Radio licenses on the third Saturday of each even-numbered month. Exams are at the address above.
The next test date is: June 15, 2024, Time: 8:00am
