SEDXC Press Release
June 21, 2025
The Southeastern DX Club is pleased to announce the induction of John Tramontanis, N4TOL, Mike Weathers, ND4V and Jeff Cantor, K1ZN into the SEDXC Hall of Fame. Inclusion into the SEDXC Hall of Fame is an honor bestowed on club members who have distinguished themselves with long and outstanding performance in the ARRL DXCC program, the SEDXC, and the DX community at large. Over more than 30 years only 28 amateurs have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
To be considered for this honor, an SEDXC member must be on the ARRL DXCC Honor Roll, be recognized as having the highest operating standards and integrity, and have had a positive impact on DXing and the reputation of the SEDXC.
John, Mike and Jeff have tirelessly served the SEDXC, including, collectively, as officers 34 times since 1992. They are all on the ARRL Honor Roll, are ARRL A-1 operators, and have positively enhanced the reputation of the SEDXC at numerous functions and venues including as officers of other clubs.
The SEDXC was formed in the Atlanta, Georgia area in 1958 to provide a place for DXers in the Southeast United States to meet, collaborate and foster DXing and DXpeditions. Today the club has over 230 members in the Southeast US and across the US, Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. Membership is open to all licensed amateurs interested in DXing.
For over 65 years the SEDXC has fulfilled it's central mission of contributing funds, equipment, technical support and logistical support to countless DXpeditions to every corner of the globe.
