OHDXF & CCF 20th Annual Meeting on the 10th – 11th of March 2018 in Turku, Finland
The OH DX Foundation is organizing the 20th Annual DX & Contest Meeting on the 10th - 11th of March. The Anniversary Meeting will be held in the Holiday Club Caribia Spa Hotel in Turku, Finland. https://www.holidayclubresorts.com/en/resorts/caribia/.
The program of the Meeting concentrates in the very latest in DXing and Contesting. Erling, LA6VM will share the first-hand experience of the Bouvet 2018 mega-DXpedition (conditional to on-time return), Martti, OH2BH will open up his always exciting Innovations and DXpeditions and Pertti, OG2M will cover the tough work and great results at ZA1WW 2017.
The Contest part will concentrate around WRTC 2018. Chris, DL1MGB has promised to present the very latest of the WRTC 2018 in Germany. The two teams, Finland’s Kim, OH6KZP and Pasi, OH6UM and Sweden’s Ingo, SM5AJV and Gunnar, SM3SGP will discuss and compare their Preparation And Competition Strategies in the coming WRTC.
Two big contest stations will be presented. Peter, OH5NQ and Timo, OG9X will talk of the history, present and future of OH5Z and Kim, OH6KZP will give a presentation of OH0X. The real contesters will have a chance to visit the OH0X site on Sunday, the 11th. The tour will take the whole day allowing an hour and a half stay at the site.
Many of the participants are expected to come already on Friday night. We will set up a DX & Contest Suite for all to get together for food and beverages and nice chats. The Suit will be open from 1900 until 2300 (local). It will be at your own cost.
