    8. Dupes

Dupes are contacts made with the same station on the same band and mode. Dupes have 0 points value.

    9. Qso

The same station can be contacted on the same band once on SSB/CW but only the first QSO is valid for multiplier point.

    10. General Note
    • All the transmitters and receivers must be found within a circle with 500m maximum radius. All the antennas used by each participant must be physically connected via cables with the transmitters and receivers.
    • Remote operation is permitted if the physical location of all transmitters, receivers, and antennas are at one station location. (for example: If a station from Eu have a remote station in Bahamas and he works with his Eu callsign – this is not permitted. If a station from Eu have a remote station in Bahamas and he use an C6 callsign – this is legal remote)
    • The using of WEB Clusters and Packet radio systems are allowed to all participants in the contest.
    • Using of other transmitters and receivers from other locations connected via internet is considered to be unsportsmanlike and it is one of the reason which attract disqualification..
    • Self-spotting on Clusters is not permitted.
    • Requesting QSOs via phone, telegrams, internet, radio packet during the contest is considered to be self-spottingand is not allowed, leading disqualification of the competitor.
    • The participants from the Single Operator category are allowed to change bands and operating modes without restrictions. However, only one single signal is permitted to be “on the air” at the same time.
    • The MOST stations must obey the “10 minutes rule”. Time spent in one band start to count down from the moment when the first QSO was done in that band. Only one single signal is permitted to be “on the air” at the same time.

    11. Definitions
    • Single Operator: are those stations under which a single person is in charge with the following duties: operate the radio station, QSO logging and spotting. There is no limit on operating time or band changes.
    • All the MIXT categories can operate with the same station both in CW and SSB. Are forbidden contacts in CW within the SSB band segments and vice versa.
    • Multi-Single: Only one transmitted signal on one band permitted during any 10-minute period (run station/signal). Exception: the station worked is a new multiplier. The run and multiplier transmitters are governed by independent 10-minute rules.
    • Multi-Multi: The six contest bands may be activated simultaneously. Only one transmitted signal per band is permitted at any time.

    12. Logs
    • Logs are accepted only in CABRILLO electronic format
    • Participants pursuing a ranking in the top 3 in any of the categories listed at point 3 are required to enter in the log the exact frequency of each QSO performed (using a CAT system), having as a minimum unit 1 kHz. The ranking in the Top 3 for any of the categories of participation will be validated only under the conditions of entering in the log the exact frequency of each QSO, or by making available to the referees the audio recording of the period of participation in the contest.
    • Checklog are accepted.

    13. Log Submission
    • All the Logs must be sent to the contest organizers in maximum 7 (seven) days from the end of the competition. (This year until the 23.59 h of February the 13th 2021)
    • Each Log will be confirmed via e-mail as well as by placing it in the “List of the received Logs” on the specified webpage.

    11. Awards
    • Diplomas will be awarded for places 1, 2 and 3 in each category listed at the Point 2.c.

    12. Penalties and disqualifications.
    • Logs will be carefully checked by the Contest Committee and mistakes may cause a score reduction. There are no penalties applied to erroneous QSO, but unsportsmanlike conduct may lead to disqualification of the entry. Unsportsmanlike conduct may be found in the LOG data as well in any other recording mean available to the Committee.
    • All Contest Committee decisions are official and final.

    13. Implicit Declaration:
By submitting an entry in the EU DX Contest you agree that:
    • you have read and understood the rules of the contest and agree to be bound by them;
    • you have operated according to all the rules and regulations of your country that pertain to amateur radio;

Due to the world coronavirus situation the EUDX Contest Committee has decided to consider, for this first edition, the Multi Multi category as Multi-Transmitter Distributed category.

Stations operating in this category may have a maximum of six transmitted signals, one per band at any one time, from stations in different locations (each station = one person).

All equipment, including remotely-controlled equipment, must be located:

      - * in the same Region for the European Union Countries (see Rules,
      Point 7);*
      - *in the same DXCC entity and same ITU Zone for non European Union
      Countries. *

Six bands may be activated simultaneously.
