The next May 21 and 22, and during the contest of His Majesty the King of Spain CW, the special station EF0F will be operating from the La Palma Island as support and in tribute to the locals after the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano, the which was expelling lava for 85 days and 8 hours, sweeping away towns that have disappeared under the blanket of lava, leaving thousands of people with nothing, there are also affected radio amateurs who have lost their homes, farms, businesses and a lifetime of memories. For this reason, this year the URE has seen fit that the special station of the KOS CW will go on the air as EF0F/8 from La Isla Bonita (the pretty Island) and with the intention of helping the affected radio amateur partners. URE, like every year, will manage the sending of the QSL through the bureau. This year there will also be the possibility of receiving it directly, which will be accompanied by a sample of ash from the volcano. Those who wish to receive the direct QSL can request it via OQRS or directly through the EA4BQ manager. The contributions received will be delivered to the EA8URA radio club, wich will manage it with the radio amateurs affected by this catastrophe.
