WSJT -X Version 2.0

WSJT-X 2.0 will be a major program release with many new features.

The first candidate release, WSJT-X 2.0-rc1, is now available for download and use by beta testers. This candidate release is your first chance to test the new features and provide feedback to the WSJT Development Group.

New features and enhancements since Version 1.9.1 are summarized here:

The WSJT-X User Guide has not yet been upgraded for Version 2.0. If you plan to use the beta-test release candidate, be sure to read the "Quick Start Guide to WSJT-X 2.0" first:

WSJT-X 2.0 A fifth candidate release ("RC5") of WSJT-X 2.0 has been available for download and use by beta testers since 26 November 2018.
The "Quick-Start Guide to WSJT-X 2.0" has been updated, and must be read thoroughly before using RC5:

"RC5 is stable, works well, and fixes the known problems in RC4.
It is likely that the General Availability (GA) release of WSJT-X 2.0, scheduled for 10 December 2018, will be nearly identical to RC5.
We recommend using RC5 (and therefore the v2.0 FT8 protocol) in the conventional FT8 sub-bands at audio TX frequencies 2000 Hz and higher.
Inevitably the necessary transition from v1.x to v2.0 protocols for FT8 and MSK144 will cause some confusion and cross-protocol interference.
Users of v1.9.1 and earlier are unable to decode transmissions from users of RC4 and later, and vice-versa.
As more users upgrade their software to WSJT-X 2.0 - and particularly after the General Availability (GA) release on 10 December 2018 - the new protocol should start to dominate the conventional FT8 sub-bands.
As soon as possible after 10 December 2018, and certainly by 1 January 2019, everyone should be using WSJT-X 2.0 or a compatible v2.0 version of derivative programs such as JTDX or MSHV".

By December 10 or very soon afterward, everyone should upgrade to the full WSJT-X 2.0 release.
Some are calling this "D-day for WSJT-X 1.9."

have tried to find the final version at 2018. 12 11 but there is still the rc5 release only. Do you have more info about what time the final realease will be present?

WSJT-X 2.1.1 GA release

The WSJT Development Group is pleased to announce the general availability (GA) release of WSJT-X Version 2.1.1.

WSJT-X 2.1.1 is a bug-fix release that addresses regressions in the v2.1.0. The new version executes properly on Macintosh machines running macOS 10.15 (Catalina).

Upgrading from earlier versions of WSJT-X should be seamless. There is no need to uninstall a previous version or move any files.

WSJT-X 2.1.2 GA Release

An error crept into the latest Hamlib code and broke the WSJT-X rig-control features for certain Icom radios. We are therefore releasing WSJT-X Version 2.1.2, which replaces the Version 2.1.1 released yesterday.

If you had rig-control problems with v2.1.1 you should definitely upgrade to v2.1.2. Others might as well do so also, though you will likely see no differences compared to v2.1.1.
