Finaly 40/20/15 hilly billy antennas working well
Big pile ups on 20/40 and a bit on 15m
Its amazing for just vertical piece of wire with no radials
Several time i was trying to call outside EU but no chance, EU still calling and caling
Apologize but there is nothing i can do against
Tmrw or day after will try 80m antenna
I give up on 160m since it is not possible to use narrow part of the beach in front from house till ocean because of other guests and tourist on island !
8Q7DX SOAB HP Clasic
Because of my flight back i decided to operated first 24 hours of contest but lost lost amp in hour 20 when just QSYed to 80m without dooing single QSO there .. pitty for great working and perfectly tuned antenna
KX-3 worked great
JUMA 1000 didnt deliver full power here 500-800W depending on bands before died completely
Antenna sigle wire inv L shape app. 15+5m
40-10m used end feed trafo from my antennas
80m additional elevated radial and direct feeding
Suffered a lot with RFI into CW adapter and notebook
No station grounding at all
Thanks QSOs and QSL via E77E or OE1EMS
Also lotw if i ever get that certificate
8Q7DX is QRT now
73s and till next time and next dxp
Braco E77DX
Equipment used
KX-3, Juma-1000
Fiberglass telescopes for verticals or inv L antennas
Endfeed transformer from myantennas to avoid radials except on 80m where i used single elevated radial
Distance from antenna to ocean about 20m in direction north
Decided to not go for 160m because of to many guests in resort crossing the beach in front of house!
My personal feeling was excellent on 80/40m!
Performance on higher bands could be better!
On 80m could work numbers of stations from midwest, few west coast in log as well but not sure if they where somewhere else!
Behavior of some stations calling in pileup was really bad!
Numbers of them where keep calling without hearing me, some EU were completely ignorant
When i was trying to work north and south america on 80m, they didnt stop calling calling...
There were few „remote“ callers calling in time when was not possibile to make a contact on that band!
Unfortunately my amp died during the contest
And operation was aborted, without making a single 80m contact in contest!
So far OH Kits promised to repair the amp without extra charges!
Another low was paying in total 550 USD for extra weight and leaving some radio stuff there !
In general being active from there was fun but a bit more costly than expected!
Whole log is already on lotw and will be uploaded on club log as well asap!
QSL card status.....i will start during the next week with QSL design and right after will go for printing!
Another low
