If you have made a contact with me, mahalo for the QSO. It is good to know that you have made a contact with a true Hawaii amateur radio operator, born and raised here with family going back generations. I started my radio hobby when I was young, talking on citizens band to my father on his fishing boat. This was the way local fishermen would communicate with there family and friends back on land. I tested/passed my Novice test in 1996 but no code. I passed the Technician test and received my No-Code Tech amateur radio license in January 1997. I now have a General class license and currently active on HF/VHF/UHF. I tend to favor 10m and 6m. I particulary like 10m FM and C4FM. I also participate on the D Star HF net on Saturdays.
