Teardown of the station will begin 2300Z on WEDNESDAY JULY 31 UTC.
The recent CME have changed the calculus of which bands (if any) to work. Today, (July 28, 20:00 UTC) the storms have been increasing. Thunder/lightening is expected today. High winds tomorrow and the next day.
The weather outlook also affects the flights off the island. The expectation is a planned August 2 departure.
Now, I'm off for my morning coffee at the Anchorage Cafe, just down the road.
Thanks.
73, Jeff VK2/W7BRS

* This email is being written July 11th 01:22 UTC
* Arrived yesterday July 10th in early afternoon local, just as planned. Was a two attempt landing. First one touch and go due to extreme side-wind turbulence. Second pass the pilot pushed us down hard and we made the landing.
* Everything is as it should be, *except for the lack of bags.* *All* of the *checked luggage* did not get transferred to the plane in Los Angeles for Sydney because of a delay in the original SEA-LAX link was over an hour late which pushed the limit on the connecting flight to Sydney -- I made it, the baggage didn't. Par for course.
* I know some are expecting QRV soon. The delays were expected. I'll have some work to do when the gear arrives. Things are looking up. I'm getting a ride back to the air-field this afternoon and if the weather is good enough for landing, then my gear will be arriving on this flight.
* In the mean time I have been getting caught up on sleep and getting exercise walking the length of the Lagoon Road.
Thanks.
Jeff
