George, AA7JV will be active as FW7JV from Wallis and Futuna, 24 - 30 June 2024.
He will focus on 160 and 80m activity preparing for August N5J DX Pedition.

Starting on June 25, FW7JV will be on the air from Wallis Island, part of Wallis and Futuna. This will be a short RIB operation ahead of the August N5J Jarvis Island DXpedition. We will be testing new antennas and equipment, especially on the low bands. FW7JV will be on 160 meters CW at local SS from 0600 UTC and again at 0900 for NA SR, as well as local SR at 1700. 80 and 40 m activity around the same time. Expect to be on the air until June 30.

FW7JV went QRT on Jun 28 at 1200 Z. We need to move onto American Samoa and there is a narrow WX window to catch.

This was a test of the new low band antenna for Jarvis. We thank all those who have called and those who sent signal reports and other info on our signals. They were extremely helpful as we were making daily adjustments during the last four days. We are happy with the results.

The next series of tests will be from American Samoa starting around Jul 10, using the call K8R.
