I am QRV from Haiti almost every day and I try to make contact with the "deep Russians" like UA4s and UA6 and of course any calls from western Asia. I really prefer CW but I must send slowly because of my callsign. I am happy for answer at any speed. But with polar flutter, it is better for slow CW. I operate on FT8 to check for propagation. When propagation is strong, I go to CW. I often operate at
0400-0600z on 20m to listen for UA9/UA0/UA4/UA6 and UN, 4L and other western Asian stations.
You can see some of the important facts about Haiti on my QSL card which you may find at https://www.qrz.com/db/HH2K
