Here is my objective:
I want to use a studio microphone with my Yeasu 991A.
The studio mic is an XLR mic.
The wire mapping for the XLR has three pins:
One is Ground
Another is + hot
The other is – Cold
The wire going into the mic socket on the FT 991A is an ethernet plug.
The connections are as follows:
1 Up
2 Down
3 +5V
4 Mic Ground
5 Mic
6 Push To Talk
7.Ground
8 Fast
I assume I will also need a push button or similar device to service the Push to Talk function.
My question, is how do I map the wiring so that I am using my studio mic, and a push to talk button?
Thank-you
