Specialists of Azmerit (part of the Russian Space Systems holding, RKS) completed ground tests of the smallest and most accurate sensor for spacecraft in the world.
The Azmerit company has successfully completed the ground-based tests of the small-size AZDK-1 stellar sensor for small spacecraft. Flight tests of the device in space conditions are scheduled for the end of 2019, it is expected to install the device on the TNS nanosatellite.
Sensor AZDK-1 provides the orientation of the satellite by the stars. It weighs only 193 grams, which is significantly less than existing analogues in the world.
