Commemorating the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia can be done anywhere. It's fun on Pari Island, Seribu Islands while enjoying your hobby. Pari Island in the Thousand Islands is an island shaped like a stingray. One of the family tourist destinations that is comfortable for children, and has many tourist attractions on offer.
Starting from the beauty of mangrove forests, sandy beaches and the serene atmosphere of sunrise and sunset. Pari island residents come from various tribes and ethnicities. They coexist peacefully with each other, because they are used to accepting differences.
This is what makes ORARI Local East Jakarta, will hold IOTA (Island On The Air) activities on Pari Island, while commemorating the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
The activity plan will be carried out over 4 days, starting from 16 to 19 August 2024. There are 3 teams on duty during the implementation, namely the operator team, engineering team and equipment team.
During the activity, ORARI Local East Jakarta will transmit on 6 HF bands (160, 80, 40, 20, 15, 10) and one VHF band. The call sign that will be used during implementation is 7E79RI, starting from 12:00 UTC (16/08/2024) to 12:00 UTC (19/08/2024).
Apart from that, East Jakarta ORARI Local will hold a flag ceremony on August 17 2024. Starting at around 08:00 WIB (morning), until finished.
Considering that it will be held on a long weekend, it is possible that other ORARI members can attend on Saturday and Sunday.
Instead of a family trip, you can increase your knowledge in radio communication and interact with radio amateurs who are there.
