ZL2AFT, Bryan P. Anderson, of Palmerston North, New Zealand passed away earlier today. He was born in 1931, became interested in Radio in 1942, introduced to Amateur Radio in 1946 and was first licensed on July 1, 1954. Not long afterwards he was bitten by the DX bug and was a phone op having 339/359 (current/total) confirmed in the ARRL DXCC SSB standings. In 2011 Bryan was inducted (# 8) into the New Zealand DX Hall of Fame. A funeral service will be held at Cottons Terracehaven, Main Street in Palmerston North on Friday at 10:30 (local).
