He was born in 1942. Jan had been going through the "effects of end-stage Alzheimer's disease" says long time friend K5NA, Richard King. Jan was "an early member of the Texas DX Society and very involved in its activities in the 70's and 80's".
He was also a member of FOC and a very good CW op.
Jan is "survived by his wife Sarah, his son Chris, and his daughters Kendel and Becky".
